A dental implant is nothing but a titanium metal replacement for
a root of a tooth that is surgically implanted in the jaw bone. When it is inserted
a bond is formed and the jaw bone gradually grows into the implant. As the area
heals after surgery, the bone around the implant fuses to it through a process called
as "osseo integration". The length of the healing time is based on the quality and
quantity of the bone as well as the type of implant inserted. After healing phase
is complete, the implants are used to anchor crowns, bridges or dentures depending
upon the number of missing teeth.

c) SINUS LIFT/SINUS AUGMENTATION PROCEDURES -
It ia a surgical procedure designed to add bone to the upper jaw in the area around
your molars and premolars. Bone is added to the section between your maxillary sinus
(located on either side of your nose) and your jaw in order to make it taller. To
make enough space to add this bone, your sinus membrane may be required to be lifted.
This is usually performed when the area lacks sufficient bone for implant placement.
This bone loss can occur due to infection, gum disease, or maxillary sinus being
too near to your upper jaw.

5) LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST WHY CHOOSE IMPLANTS OVER A BRIDGE-
Firstly in implants we do not touch your adjacent healthy teeth at all as compared
to a bridge where we have to cut down your natural teeth, secondly since implants
are placed in the bone the constant vibration of implant preserves your jaw bone
as compared to the denture wearing patients whose bone begins to shrink because
of constant pressure of the denture directly on the jaw bone. So they have the typical
"old person" look. So implants preserve more bone. As far as your old
look is concerned, our surgeon is trained for BOTOX AND DERMAL FILLERS to give you
that youthful look even if you are a denture wearer.
